(More customer reviews)I tried this product because I was in need of a natural cleanse & detox. I followed the directions starting my day off with the Super Defense Food which didn't taste bad at all. I mixed it with V8 V-Fusion and it reminded me of the "Green Machine" bottled drink. I took the packet of pills (4 HUGE pills) with breakfast and lunch as directed and drank a lot of water. I had to stop this cleanse after 4 days because I found that I had to use the restroom about every 20 minutes. I started on a Saturday, so at home was it was a minor annoyance, but bearable. The problem came at work. I could not sit through a full meeting and I could not concentrate on my work because I had to get up and use the bathroom so often! To the product's credit, just after the 4 days, I did find that I was starting to eat less and feel a little less sluggish. I'm sure the full 7 days would've yielded better results; I gave this 3 stars due to the bathroom issue.

I have used this product for a couple of years off and on, anytime i feel the need to cleanse myself so to speak, and it works wonders. I recommend this product to anyone that wants to get rid of that bloated feeling. It is no miracle flush, you wont have extreme weight loss, but is a good side kick to any diet program.

Not unhappy with product as I did feel it supressed appetite, but concerned that consumer reports listed one of its ingrediants, citrus aurantium (bitter orange) as "Possibly unsafe. Contains synephrine, which is similar to ephedrine, banned by the FDA in 2004. Risks might be higher when taken with herbs that contain caffeine"

(More customer reviews)This is the only cleansing/regulating product I've ever tried but I would recommend it. Used it to kickstart my cleaner eating phase. I liked that it has a sample 1,500 cal meal plan (can be expensive b/c it has organic/soy products). It's hard to follow exactly, but it is a good reference...unlike the ones that only let you eat soups and veggies-this just cuts out dairy, cokes, alcohol, caffine-but you can eat meats (grilled), organic wheat wrap, veggies, OJ, yogurt, ect.
Pro's: After first day of headaches(I think because I couldn't drink caffine)...my energy seemed more natural and even throughout the day. I woke up more naturally...which I didn't expect could ever happen. All around I felt alot more healthy, BUT I didn't eat healthy before so that could be why I had bigger results. Two weeks later, I am sticking to minimal caffine only in the morning, and most of the healthy eating.
Con's: All GNC pills taste bad to me, and there are soo many...so I had to take pills with the soy milk or juice. Because the nature of the product, of course I felt my insides "working" alot, but it was really only at night.
Would drink this with alot of water and follow it as close as possible.

Blessed thistle does not possess any of the liver-cleansing or detoxing benefits that milk thistle does. Some other seller's products have come into question as well. I contacted the makers of this particular milk thistle who told me there is nothing but the purest milk thistle in these capsules. I ordered and upon reviewing the label, I found their statements to be completely true. So far, this is the only company I have personally
come across on Amazon that sells real milk thistle from the Silybum Marianum herb

(More customer reviews)I have done the Sambu 10-day deep cleanse every year for 15 years, sometimes twice in a year. The 10-day cleanse omits all solid foods and you subsist on what's in the kit. There is the elderberry juice sweetened with honey that you mix with water, the tea, the fiber you mix with the juice in place of meals, etc. The first couple of days are hard as in headaches from detoxing the blood and kidneys, but by day 4, I'm feeling so good about what I've accomplished and no lack of energy. I recommend starting on a Friday so you have the weekend to adjust and observe how you feel. By Monday, you'll be back at work and ready to tackle whatever comes your way. By day 10, I feel so good my sense of smell in particular is heightened, it's a good jump start to a weight loss plan. You start back into solid foods again slowly, and the flavors really jump out at you, you can use less spice/salt/sugar without feeling like you are sacrificing. I lose an average of 12-15 pounds each time. There are modified versions of this diet that allow you to eat food and there are 3-day kits and 5-day kits if the 10 day seems intimidating.

I followed the instructions and was cleansed quickly. There was one trick that I had to implement and that was with the fiber powder. It takes a higher solubility than cool tap water. I made the water 120 F and it disolved while stiring. Drink a lot of water and avoid orange juice or oranges because it intinsifies the cleanse... if you get what I mean. Day three you may want to occur over the weekend. Good product best of luck.
