What's not to like? Great taste, high vitamin content, lactose free!
For those who need to gain weight, this product is ideal. I myself am not a fan of high-density caloric drinks for the general population. If you are in good health and just want a great dietary suppliment, get regular Ensure instead.
This product is great for people with diabetes, heart problems, and many other maladies because it helps you improve your dietary health first.
I must also say, the taste is surprisingly good as well. I find these drinks far superior to Slim-Fast lactose free, as they are lighter and easier on the stomach than Slim-Fast.
While I prefer the bottles to the cans (they are more recycling friendly after all) this is a great product that is worth a try.
For those who don't need to gain weight, try regular Ensure instead.

This product is excellent as a meal replacement for maintaining or reducting your weight. For those who need to gain weight, try Ensure Plus instead.
This product is great for people with obesity, diabetes, heart problems, and many other maladies because it helps you improve your dietary health first. The weight loss, if it comes with increased exercise and an improved diet, is a bonus.
I must also say, the taste is surprisingly good as well. I find these drinks far superior to Slim-Fast lactose free, as they are lighter and easier on the stomach than Slim-Fast.

It's true, the taste sometimes takes getting used to. I actually find it quite delicious but to each their own. :)
Yes the price is high, no doubt about it. But when compared to other similar products, the price is still comparable. Dietary supplements are expensive to make and the market is smaller than other beverages. It's not unreasonable to expect a higher price. Health is priceless after all. :)

(More customer reviews)Ensure Plus has been my primary source of nutrition for five years now following mouth cancer surgery. I still have a PEG tube, but fortunately am able to drink my nutrition. I have tried every liquid supplement on the market. I still do not tire of my favorite, vanilla. Their chocolate is also the best chocolate on the market. The creaminess and the depth of flavoring cannot be beat. Try freezing in ice cube trays, then blending with a couple of real ice cubes in a blender for a terrific "milkshake." By still having a PEG tube, this is a bonafide prescription which is delivered to my home monthly.

Boost Glucose Control, 8-Ounce Plastic Bottle (Pack of 24) Review

(More customer reviews)I'm in the process of getting bariatric surgery, and part of the pre-op procedure is a two-week liquid-only diet. The main component of that diet is Boost Glucose Control, which does a good job of controlling my hunger while providing the nutrients I need as a substitute for solid food (along with other items, of course). I like all three flavors, but my favorite is, yes, chocolate. :-)
So, why am I only giving this product 1 star? The price. As of 7/26/2009, it's listed here as being over $50 for a 24-count case. However, I can go to various local grocery and pharmacy stores (Kroger, CVS, Wallgreens, Meijer, etc.) and buy a six-pack for about $10. Do the math: 4 times $10 equals $40 for 24 bottles. I can spend the saved $10 on another six-pack, giving me 30 bottles for the same price I'd be paying here for 24 bottles. Not very cost-effective!
Bring the price down, Amazon, and I'll be glad to change my rating. Until then, sorry, I'm buying locally for the better bargain (important in the current economic crunch).
