(More customer reviews)Last winter I decided to try Defense. If I woke up with a sniffle I would spray 3 times, and then again around lunch. That's all it took. (Some people may need more.) I didn't get a cold all winter. I didn't even stock up on Vitamin C like I used to do. I believe in Defense. And it is so convenient that I take it with me. Then if someone coughs or sneezes I can take a few sprays later and reduce the risk.

When we do our 30-mile, 2500-ft-climb rides, she does better than half the guys on the team. What I am saying is that she takes care of her body and knows her stuff when it comes to nutrients.
I take a couple tablets prior to my workouts, which are pretty intense (for example 3 sets of 35 pullups).
The product description does a pretty good job of describing how Glutamine helps your body during entensive workouts. Here's a description from the Oncology Encyclopedia:
Glutamine is the most abundant free amino acid in the human body and, in addition to its role as a component of protein, serves a variety of functions in the body. It is a non-essential amino acid because it is made by body cells. In addition most dietary protein contains ample amounts of glutamine and healthy people usually obtain all the additional glutamine that they need in their diet.

However, after I bought this product and it arrived, I immediately checked its pH level. Much to my dismay, it came in at 7.2 vs. the 9-10 the manufacturer claims. I can but Spring water for $6.99/case! I was furious but get some relieve knowing that if this review stops others from getting ripped off then I can save them the heartache and the lost money.
