Pedometer 1 Count Review

Pedometer 1 Count

This product does not count steps with any consistency. Will sometimes jump 2 or 3 steps and sometimes will not count them. It says it counts calories, but if it cannot count steps it will not count calories.

BluFire BA90 Digital Body Fat Analyzer, Soft White Review

BluFire BA90 Digital Body Fat Analyzer, Soft White
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have been using the BluFire BA-90 for 7+ months and I think it's fantastic.
First, about me... I exercise regularly. I run and lift weights and also play soccer. I have owned a regular bathroom scale before, but I had never owned or used a body fat scale prior to using the BluFire BA90.
Setup is a breeze. I was able to enter my age, weight, and height no problem.
Here's what I like best about the product:
-Test results are consistent. If I test myself several times in a row, I get the same body fat percentage each time. In fact, I've never had two different readings when testing myself twice back-to-back. And when I go away for a weekend, throw back some drinks, and test myself on Monday, the body fat percentage has nudged up 1-2%. I can assume this is the case from a simple "pinch test" but it's definitely cool (and informative) to see the exact body fat percentage.
-It's fast and easy. It takes about 7-10 seconds from the time I step on the scale to when weight and body fat percentage are displayed. Prior to using this initially, I thought it would take longer. But it is quick and easy, which makes me more likely to randomly jump on the scale any given day.
-It keeps working. I have used it several times a week for over seven months and it's good as new.
All in all, I'm very happy with the product and definitely recommend it to others.

Omron Hip Aerobic Pedometer Review

Omron Hip Aerobic Pedometer

I LOVE this pedometer! Had two cheaper ones before I purchased this one and threw them both out. This pedometer is sturdy and accurate. It keeps track of the last seven days of activity, calories, moderate steps. It even knows the date and time, and resets itself automatically every day. It has yet to fall off like the cheaper brands. For the money, I'd highly recommend this one.

Slimquick Triple Action Cleanse Capsules, 56-count Box Review

Slimquick Triple Action Cleanse Capsules, 56-count Box
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I went through a whole box already. I'm using weight watchers (the older point system) for weight loss, but I have problems with irregularity and have problems with the other products out there. I tried this on a whim and found it words very well with my body. I only take 3 capsules in the morning, and within 6 hours my body is able to eliminate (with a little cramping). So I take it 2 or 3 days in a row like this and everything starts working great, but I noticed that mentally and physically I feel better after taking it. So for my body type (and I have to be low carb, low on meats) it works great and I'm buying 3 boxes. So weight watchers is helping me lose weight, staying away from carbs and meats help me with being somewhat regular, and this helps me feel good when things aren't working right.

CalorieSmart - Handheld Calorie Counter (CS80S) Review

CalorieSmart - Handheld Calorie Counter (CS80S)
Average Reviews:

This is a wonderful little tool.
I was apprehensive that it would be too complicated to get much use out of. On the contrary it was easy to enter my personal data, and it is easy to enter food information. It has a huge amount of food choices and you can enter your own food information or do a "quick entry" of calories consumed and calories burned. I have checked several package information labels against the food information in this system and it is VERY accurate. For some of the entries, if I know the calorie information is different, I will just change the size or amount of the serving so the calories entered is closer to being accurate. You can log entries into a "favorite" category so the data entry becomes very quick if you are eating some of the same foods regularly. You can push a single button to get your calorie count for the day. Another button will give you the "net" calories if you have entered exercise information. It stores entries for daily goals and compares your actual intake and outgo to your goals entered. You can enter recipe information to calculate calories. (I have not tried that option yet.) You can also track the protein, carbohydrates, sodium, etc. being consumed.
It is small and light, so it is easy to slip into a purse or pocket. It is SO much more convenient than looking up and logging information into a journal, computerized or paper. I made a commitment that if I ate it, it had to be entered. If I could not enter it, I could not eat it. This has been a very eye opening tool. I have entered the food I was intending to eat and when the calorie count showed up, have altered my choice of food or the portion size to limit the calories consumed. It turns out, that I may not always realize how many calories really are in the food being consumed. This gadget has really helped.
I have NEVER counted calories. I have always felt exercising more (or at all)was a better answer to losing weight. I would choose what I thought were better food choices whenever I was working out to lose weight. Forget the counting of the calories, I wasn't really eating THAT much. I did not have the time to count calories. I never really lost the weight, and continually gained it because my crazy busy life kept getting in the way of exercising and eating better. Now at a size way bigger than ever, I realized I must change the way I think about losing weight. Using the CalorieSmart counter has really helped me understand and know what I am consuming and has been a really smart purchase!
UPDATE: During the first two months, using this to track my calories and exercise, I lost 25 pounds. I averaged a weight loss of 2.5 pounds per week.

DietCalc Diet Nutrition Calculator Review

DietCalc Diet Nutrition Calculator
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I had one of these under the Nutri-Counter brand that I used for 4 years before the batteries died, when I decided just to buy a new one rather than replace them. The units are virtually identical, so I think only the name has changed. (In between I tried a CalorieSmart, which I hated and returned because it was too cumbersome and time-consuming to use - for example you have to enter the whole word for a food - and it has a big bump on the back so you can't even lay it down to use it, you have to hold it all the time). But the Dietcalc is flat and compact. It's easy to use in that you can enter one or more letters and it will instantly bring up the first choice beginning with that letter or combination of letters and from there you can scroll through items alphabetically. You can then select the item and change the quantity if necessary. This principle also works when adding new foods, so that if you find something similar to your new item, you can bring it up, enter the name for your new entry, change any or all of the values (calories, total fat, saturated fat, cholesterol, sodium, carbs, sugar, fiber, and protein), press save, and have your new item as a permanent addition. To save time, for meals or snacks I routinely consume, I like to enter all the components, like shreaded wheat, milk, and orange juice for breakfast, write down the totals, then make a new entry such as "BR" with my toal values, so that's all I have to enter every morning. You can also set goals in each catagory and the on-screen value will flash if you go over. And it has a balance button so you can see how many calories, etc., you have remaining before you reach the daily limits you've set. I'm mainly interested in controlling calories, fat, and sodium, and I've found it very helpful as an aid for staying at or under my goals for those. On the downside, you can't review the items you've entered - you only see the running totals for the day.
