HoMedics SC-202 LED Digital Bathroom Scale Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this scale because it was digital and thought the brand Homedics was reliable. When I rcvd it, I followed the instructions, installed the battery, got on scale to set it and then back on to get my weight. Later on that night I got on it again and was 2 lbs less than earlier, my diet was really working I thought. The next morning I weighed myself and was 3 lbs less than that, I know they always say you way less in the morning but that much? That night I weighed in again and was back to my original weight of the day before, I had gained it all back !! I knew the scale was wrong because I weighed my daughter who is 32 lbs and her weight was coming in at up to 37 lbs at times. I even moved the scale around to different areas of the floor to see if mabye it was due to the floor being uneven but it didn't change.
So... the scale is going back and I'm going to order a good old fashion scale with a dial.

HoMedics SC-550 Body Fat Analyzer & Scale Review

(More customer reviews)This scale has given me problems since day one. It was the second scale I bought after I returned a defective one before this purchase. I was so fed up I thought oh well, this will have to do. Basically, you have to get the best 2 out 3 results from the read out and average it out. It measures different numbers almost every time! I thought it was the battery and then I thought it was me having lost weight from a.m. to p.m. daily! But I've stepped on the scale repeatedly and tested it and the results are "right" 50/50....and... since I belong to Weight Watchers, I've noticed that this scale is 5 pounds off. So I always weigh 5 pounds more at Weight Watchers and 7 pounds more at the doctors office. Too much math!!! Body Fat analyzer not that predicatable either. It gives wacky read outs too... I call this product my Scale Suggestion not my Scale.

(More customer reviews)I have used this scale for a month and am happy that it is more accurate and more stable than the previous scale I used. I like that it measures to tenths of a pound. I find that if I stand on the scale the same way each time without shifting my weight from one measurement to the next provides the greatest degree of consistency. This is a small scale and the average adult foot is going to hang over the edge a bit but I have not found this to be a problem and I appreciate the small footprint it takes in the bathroom.

As with all of the body fat , body composition monitors, you have to enter your personal data for you to get the body fat readouts. But when there are multiple users in the home, you have to remember which user profile you are. NOT WITH THIS ONE. This scale automatically picks out the correct usere profile when you step on it. Its an auto on and auto select feature. I think it does it by matching the weight against the the profile or something. But it works and that's all I care about.
Great looking scale and it gives you body fat, BMI, hydration and weight. The price is also better than most with these features.

There are 10 presets for members of your household ... with this many, you can set one as a BEFORE diet and leave it as is, create a new preset and track your progress on your diet.
Prior to this I had a 4-preset Tanita body fat scale. This is (1) much better (seems better made), (2) more attractive, and (3) gives more information.
Highly recommended. Half the cost of other scales with poor user reviews. Turns on easily by touching toe to one of the metal arc'd strips at the top.

HoMedics SC-360 LCD Digital Scale Review

(More customer reviews)Product's mechanical packaging and slick appearance is attractive. It is slim and easy to clean. It also has an adequetly large LCD display, BUT....
I had to return the product because it was not giving a consistent and accurate readings.
This scale has internal hysterises by up to +/-5 lbs. Every time you place the same weight on it, you would read a different reading.
I excercised the "auto tare" procedure as it mentioned in the owner's manual, but it did not correct the problem. This product's strain gauge may be sensitive to the changes in ambient temperature and therefore subject to drift. It is known to most scales that there is a small inherent hysterises because of the nature of every strain gauge, but it should be compensated via software or manually. This product was not equipped to do that.
I think I should go back to the analog scales with manual adjust for the "tare" function

No instructions on how to stop the wild fluctuations, and differences of as much as 20 pounds even when you're trying to stand in the exact same way. If I wanted to know that I weigh between 150 and 250, I would have looked in the mirror. Total garbage.

Dualit 87004 Bathroom Scale Review

(More customer reviews)I just fell in love with the look of this scale. It is really pretty. Plus, it has pound and kilogram, I'm a Japanese who's used to kilogram, so it's great. But it rusts so easily. I put this in our bathroom, after 2 weeks, it started to rust with the moisture. So the pretty look gets ruined. And the scale hand goes off very often, you have to adjust it with a rolling thing at the bottom. (What I mean is, the scale hand doesn't point zero always, you have to adjust it to make it point zero before weighing yourself.) So it's not one of those precise digital scale. If you love retro look and don't mind retro function, go for it. Otherwise, this is not for you. (And of course it's a bit pricey.) I still like this even though it's rusted a bit.

(More customer reviews)The weight measurement is very easy to use...just step on. The other features for body fat, muscle mass, etc. are great too. The only criticism is that these measurements require you to push at least 2 buttons every time you want to measure them. The buttons are very sensitive, so you can't just press them with your toes. You have to bend down and push them just right so that your own settings come up.

(More customer reviews)I realize overall trends are more important than anything else, but, I'm pretty unhappy with just how much this scale varies. It can vary weighing yourself twice by up to 8 pounds! It's really hard to track trends when you dont know if the number you get it +/- 8 pounds at any given time.
I've owned it a couple years, and it's got other flaws - it chews through batteries of the expensive watch type, and i've had to open it several times to clean the circuit board inside with alcohol- it gets wet and when the water dries it reads Err or E untill I take it apart.
