To Go Brands Green Tea Energy, 24-Count Boxes Review

To Go Brands Green Tea Energy, 24-Count Boxes
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The Green Energy Tea Fusion tea powder allows you to make instant ice green tea wherever you happen to be. All it takes is to fill a bottle with a few ounces of cold water and shake. The end product is a green tea that's honey-lemony tasting, low-calorie and, the maker claims, is made of mostly organic ingredients.
Each packet has enough powder to make an okay-tasting 8-16 oz. amount of cool green tea. All you need to do is start with a bottle of cold water, take a sip or 2 to make some room for the shaking that's to follow, drop the powder in, then shake the bottle and... here's your cool green tea. It tastes the way you would expect iced green tea to taste when spiked with a little bit of lemon and honey. The taste, when 16 oz. of water are used is comparable to the gallon-size 'green diet ice tea' containers you could buy from some grocery stores only a little more diluted. When used with only 8 oz. it begins to taste like serious tea but than you'd want a second packet. The powder tea packets give you the ability to make instant green ice tea wherever you are and whenever you feel like without having to carry along a gallon-size canister. In addition, the makers claim that the caffeine and the EGCG (100mg) from one packet are sufficient to 'boost' your metabolism if taken three times daily.
As far as contents, the main ingredients listed are: organic Japanese green tea extract, organic Yerba Maté extract, organic Guava seeds extract, organic Aloe Vera extract, organic honey crystals and some others.
The powder has 23 calories but none of them came from saturated fats or trans fats and none of the sweet taste comes from sugar because no sugar was added.
I enjoy drinking this when no better options are available - such as the ability to make 'real' brewed green or, better, white tea. I do not see it as a regular substitute to 'real' tea. Since the product does meet my expectations - produce a reasonably decent drink when nothing better can be had, it gets it's 5 stars and my endorsement (for emergencies only) because I can't think of much that could be done to make it better.

Note:
EGCG also known as Epigallocatechin 3-gallate is a powerful anti-oxidant that can be found in green tea but not in black tea.

I was so excited to learn about this, and when I finally bought it, I was beyond disappointed. It has an OK taste, but it did ABSOLUTELY nothing to suppress my appetite. In fact, it seems that I even got hungrier after drinking the product. Expensive too, but if it did what it says it does, I wouldn't mind spending the money, bud did NOT work for me.

I bought this myotein mix because it got good reviews for having good proteins and whatnot. The taste is TERRIBLE. Now i have to go through an entire tub of this torture. And it does not dissolve well in water. We'll see if I last the next month drinking this horrible tasting chunky stuff because unfortunately i paid the money for it.

GURU Energy Drink, 100% Natural, Case Pack (24- 8.3Fluid Ounce Cans) Review

GURU Energy Drink, 100% Natural, Case Pack (24- 8.3Fluid Ounce Cans)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I personally am a connoisseur of energy drinks. I rely on caffeine for most of my projects at school and for late night coding sessions as well as marathon gaming. Although energy drinks can be considered a crutch, it's a lifestyle decision that many, many people embrace rather than attempt to avoid... I am one of these people.
That said, Guru Energy is fairly cheap ($1.25USD/can) if you buy it here off Amazon, it comes in the Redbull standard 8.3 fl/oz cans, and is shipped in a suprisingly lightweight and compact case (compare this to Monster, Rockstar, or any other brand with standard 16 fl/oz cans).
The taste, like Guru's website describes, is very indescribable. It is very sharp and light with a medium amount of carbonation. The caffeine buzz is more "natural"... it has more of an upslope and downslope rather than a sudden cracked out (which is arguably awesome too in its own respect) then big crash sort of feeling. This is because the caffeine in Guru is derived from 125mg of Guaranine (Guarana Herb) rather than synthetically separated then added. There is no mention about how much of the 125mg of Guaranine is real caffeine, but since Red Bull checks in at 80mg / 8.3oz it seems that Guru is in pretty good shape.
I think a particular good feature of Guru is that it uses cane sugar rather than high fructose corn syrup. I appriciate a good quality soda, particularly microbrew colas, and they often exclusively contain cane sugar.
So in summary, this energy drink is farily cheap, good buzz, all natural, and great for coding, gaming, or studying.

ZOIC Nutrition Drink, French Vanilla (Pack of 24) Review

ZOIC Nutrition Drink, French Vanilla (Pack of 24)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
~
Here is a comparative of the Nutrition Facts showing ZOIC first on the left and Slim Fast Low Carb second on the right:
Calories: 110 - 190
Calories from Fat: 10 - 80
Saturated Fat: 0.5g - 1.5g
Trans Fat: 0g - 0g
Cholesterol: 5mg - 15mg
Sodium: 230mg - 260mg
Potassium: 230mg - 550mg
Total Carbohydrate: 5g - 6g
Dietary Fiber: 3g - 4g
Sugars: 1g - 1g
"Net Carbs:" 2g - 2g
Protein: 21g - 20g
The vitamins/minerals are somewhat similar in these two drinks and can be found on the Nutrition Facts on the cans. The biggest difference is that Slim Fast Low Carb has about 73% more calories and 70 more Fat calories per drink.
The taste, which I was concerned about when I order my first case of 24 drinks, is similar with the main difference that the Slim Fast Low Carb has a smoother, creamier texture. I experimented with adding about 80 calories of cream to a ZOIC drink and it definitely acquired a smoother, creamier texture. The overall taste of both drinks, in my opinion, is a good taste; but not a great taste. I would give these products a 4.5 rating if I could.
The Slim Fast Low Carb drink with its extra 70 more calories from Fat seems to satisfy my hunger perhaps 30 minutes longer than the ZOIC drink (without any cream added). ZOIC's package states "meal complement & snack replacement" not a meal replacement; in other words, it seems logical that one would add a small portion of other healthful food to make it a meal.
Both drinks refrain from adding any sugar or sugar alcohols (make sure you are comparing Slim Fast "Low Carb" and not other Slim Fast drinks which do have sugar added). Both drinks are free from Trans Fat.
I like to use both drinks to give me variety in taste and calories. The ZOIC drink at only 110 calories is a good choice when I want less calories and less fat calories; perhaps, when a planned meal time has to be pushed back in time by a couple of hours. If I need something to skip a meal, then I will usually choose Slim Fast Low Carb.
Both of these "Low Carb" drinks are good to have on hand in the refrigerator, so you can choose 110 or 190 calories versus some other super-sized 500 plus calorie item that may be in the refrigerator too.
~

FRS Healthy Energy Liquid Concentrate, 32-Ounce Bottle Review

FRS Healthy Energy Liquid Concentrate, 32-Ounce Bottle
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have been ordering this product from the FRS website for a few months now, (FRS.com) and it does work! you can find all kinds of information from their site, but order from amazon, it cost less.
I do believe that this has helped me maintain my weight loss as it certainly does boost my metablolism. I feel such a difference when I use it on a regular basis. I use the orange concentrate, mix with club soda, or diet ginger ale and it is so refreshing.
I don't care much for the chews, they have a somewhat bitter flavor to them, and they are higher in calories if you are counting.
I can't endorse this product enough, and I am not getting paid for it!
Enjoy!

FRS Healthy Energy Powdered Drink Mix 14 ea Review

FRS Healthy Energy Powdered Drink Mix 14 ea
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The first time I posted my experience, six readers immediately disagreed with it (obviously they felt they knew far better than I whether FRS Healthy Energy provided me with any "lift"). I withdrew the review, but upon reflection I've regretted my decision to do so. Whether or not the product "worked" for an individual is necessarily personal and anecdotal, one person's report. It's hardly a matter for disagreement--unless the responder is intent upon promoting an agenda.
All of the FRS products have ingredients likely to be familiar to users of "energy" drinks, powders, supplements, and bites: sugar, corn syrup, fructose, caffeine, green tea extract. The drink also offers the MDR for key vitamins along with antioxidant activity from the green tea leaves and, most importantly, "quercetin," a bioflavanoid that is used in red wine replacement capsules as a highly potent free radical scavenger. While "quercetin" is widely recognized as an effective blood toner, conditioner, and "bad" cholesterol reducer, FRS is prominently promoting it as an energizer, capable of "extending" the body's natural adrenaline "and" removing the "oxidants that cause fatigue." A controversial statement, backed by little controlled studies, especially if the inference is that quercetin will provide an immediate "lift."
Of course, FRS points out that it's not simply the individual ingredients that provide increased energy but an optimal, catalytic combination that promotes thermogenesis, increases metabolic rate, and helps the body make efficient use of carbohydrates. So it's possible the product has worked for many (besides Mr. Armstrong). If so, testimonials on its behalf deserve to be taken seriously by any curious, health-minded individuals.
The powdered drink mix perhaps makes the most sense to start with, and the chewy bites the least (the sugar in the bites actually had a paradoxical effect, momentarily enervating rather than energizing me). The drink is flavorable enough, with a convincing fresh-fruitish "tang," and not overly sweet. But in my case it did not counteract either the late-morning or late-afternoon "crashes" and obviate the need for that extra expresso or two.
If you choose to try the product, be exceptionally careful about the apparently generous internet offer, endorsed by Mr. Armstrong, of a complete sample kit of the products sent free of charge (with the exception of postage and handling costs). The merchandising tactics of FRS are practically antithetical to the full-disclosure, consumer-centric policies of a site like Amazon. (If Bezos offered everyone a free Kindle, saying it's yours to keep if you don't like it, I'd have full confidence in his offer; FRS employs more deceptive, misleading tactics that could result in your admittance to a pricey club before you even realized you were a member.)
So put Lance Armstrong and his company (he's part owner) to the test, but order the products through Amazon to avoid unwanted hassle, hustle and hype. If you decide the product is for you, then is the time to inquire into the benefits of being a member of the club.

Vibrant Health - Green Vibrance, powder Review

Vibrant Health - Green Vibrance, powder
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have tried numerous other "green food" powders over the last couple of years (more on that in a minute), and finally settled on Green Vibrance as the highest quality and overall best among all those I tried.
It has 3.5 grams per serving of actual "green foods", which is more than many other green products. It also has many other important herbs and various nutrients, and all in significant enough doses and potentcy to actually work. This is also rich in probiotics and prebiotics, which are also vitally important. Best of all, I actually DO get an energy boost from this product, and notice other signs that it is working, including smoother skin, improved mood, and simply "feeling better".
Some of the others I tried:
Greens+ - This is another good "green food" product, and if Green Vibrance wasn't available, I would go with this one. Very similar to Green Vibrance, but in my opinion Green Vibrance edges Greens+ out slightly.
Green Magma - This product is high-quality as well, but doesn't have quite as many nutrients as Green Vibrance or Greens+.
Earth's Promise by Enzymatic Therapy - Pretty good product, but like Green Magma, it doesn't have nearly as many nutrients as Green Vibrance or Greens+.
Garden of Life "Perfect Food" - Has more greens, but their products should be avoided at all cost. They are way over-priced, and the founder has one of those mail-order "Doctorate" degrees. (His first book is a real crack-up too, with parts of his biography that don't add up.) In fact, The Amazing Randy (a famous skeptic here in the U.S.) has totally exposed the founder of this company. Do a Google search and you'll find it. Basically, I wouldn't trust ANYTHING this company does or makes.
Go buy some Green Vibrance, try it for a couple weeks, and you'll be sold!
