(More customer reviews)I used this product years ago as a teenager. I was very skinny and this helped me add some overall weight. Something to keep in mind with most weight gainers (including this one) is that they are basically sugar based with some protein and vitamins thrown in. Maltodextrin, fructose etc. are all sugars of various forms- you'll see them on the label. With that in mind I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone who is already at a bodyfat level higher than 15% or so (i.e. those who can't see their abs) as this much sugar in a product is guaranteed to add some fat as well as muscle. To those with a super speedy metabolism the effect is minimized and carbohydrates (sugar) are protein and muscle sparing.
Also, if you are very budget minded, a good protein powder (bulk whey concentrate for example) mixed with table sugar will basically do the same thing and come out a bit cheaper. In fact, that way you can "customize" the ratio of protein to sugar based on your particular needs. But, if you are looking for something with a relatively cheap price (less than $5 per lb.) and pretty good taste, this may be a good product for you.
