(More customer reviews)I'm a big fan of the Spiru-Tein (Spirutein) Shake - Cappuccino - 2.2 Lb. - Powder, but I'd has less luck finding something that could mix into a fruit smoothie (Spirutein's fruit flavors are sickeningly sweet & its vanilla is just OK). I tried the vegetable protein powder that's a house brand from a big chain of vitamin shops, but that was so vile I had to get rid of it. So this mix is a happy discovery.
I can't attest to what it tastes like mixed with just water or milk. But it tastes AOK in my thick smoothies, which I usually make with 4-ish oz of orange juice, half an avocado, a banana, a cup or more of spinach or collards (frozen makes it super easy), 3/4-ish cup of frozen blueberries and a few frozen strawberries (and a fresh peach if it's in season), sometimes a bit of fresh ginger, and then enough water to fill the blender.
It sounds like a peculiar mix, but it tastes quite good. I only use one scoop of the infusion. Never tried 2 but I think it'd be too much (and too expensive a habit, as I drink these almost every morning). I tried throwing half a green pepper into the mix today. Do not try this. Not good.
I also tried a sample pack of the Vega Complete Whole Food Health Optimizer, Vanilla Chai Flavor, 34.9 oz & didn't care much for it. I'm sold on this smoothie infusion. It's expensive, but it's so hard to find something vegetable-based and without artificial sweeteners. So this is worth it to me.
