(More customer reviews)I first experienced this plate in the office of a nutritionist. I love it! I can't wait to get my own.It seems a little smaller than the plates I'm used to eating from... which is probably about right for a weight reduction program.It's colorful but not garish, sturdy, and the colors don't chip off with frequent handling. I examined an older plate, and the top edge of the inner rim, at the junction of the green band and white sections, had a "rubbed" look to it. If you set something on top of it (another demo plate, in this case) it will show after a while. The remainder of the plate seemed to have stood up to wear and tear quite well. Melamine is essentially unbreakable. I like that there are two circles you can use... the outer plate's lip, for a larger meal, and the inner ring (depressed area) for a smaller meal.Very helpful!
I've actually ordered two: one to hang in my kitchen as a visual aid, and one to put food on.
