(More customer reviews)Bought this a couple weeks ago at a third of what Amazon is selling for now, considerably less than my favorite supplement which it is designed to copy (Jack3d). Considering the price at the time, I figured it was worth a shot. First off, the instructions say you can add up to three scoops in four to eight ounces of water. I defy anyone to add three scoops of this stuff to four ounces of water! Want and explosion in your mouth? You got it! The grape skin and beet powder ingredients seem to dominate the "fruit punch" flavor, and while I am ok with it now, the first few doses made me jerk and twitch. It does mix a a touch better in water than Jack3d overall, a little less grainy. If you are going to use more than one scoop, use at least six ounces of water.
Having no idea how the ingredients break down in the "proprietary blend" of 4145mg, all I can do is compare it to Jack3d. It does offer a similar action in me as Jack3d, albeit less intense. I almost never use more than one rounded scoop of Jack3d for my workouts - but with this product I need to use about two to get a similar reaction. I don't feel the same pumped-up sensation I love about Jack3d, nor do I notice the trademark tingly-itchy sensation in my hands, feet and face to the same intensity. 3-D Explosion also leaves me feeling a little bit "off" in the emotional category, though that again is only when comparing it.
While I am convinced that supplements need to be experimented with on an individual level, I am certain that the ratio of ingredients is not approximate to Jack3d, or is not the same quality. Others might have a totally different conclusion. The three stars for me is because of the flavor, and especially the fact that I have to use more of it to get a similar energy rush for my work out - which negates the fact that it has five more servings per package. From now on, I'll stick with Jack!
