I've used prescription medication for my chronic constipation problems and this product works better. It was gentle and I took it at a time when I knew I would be home for results the first time. After that I could time when I took it to make sure I was home for the results. I wasn't in the bathroom all day or anything, I just prefer to be at home when I have to go, not at work. I think a lot of people do, so as I said before, it works great.
