I have used mine for well over a year and is extremely accurate because there is no moving parts to wear out. it shows no signs of wear and tear the pad that you place your feet on to the baked on enamel finish this is due to quality materials, There is an additional feature that I like you press the button to turn on the scale and after you weigh yourself it turns itself off a few seconds later saving you from pressing the keypad one more time. These scales were designed to be used in a medical setting with patients stepping on and off all day year after year it is doubtful that I'll ever have to purchase another scale again.
