I find that acai berry keeps you cleaned out (at least in my case), not that I have any problems, but it just makes things move through easier. I mean, if you are reading about it, you want to know what it does, don't you? Besides the concept that acai is supposed to be healthy for you because of its antioxidant properties, it performs that additional movement function. I don't know acai's relationship to weight loss, but I know that we don't want things to sit around inside us and ferment.
I have found this brand to be particularly good. The bottle states it is 100% vegetarian and has 60 liquid-filled capsules, is tested free of heavy metal toxicity, is an alcohol-free concentrate, and 1 capsule contains 1200mg of freeze-dried acai berry from certified organic acai.
I have found that 1 capsule per day is quite sufficient for me. At 60 capsules per bottle, that is a 2-month supply. The concentrated liquid cap is simple to take, easy to swallow, and works fairly quickly--so keep that in mind and don't take it when you are on the road.
