(More customer reviews)Unifiber advertises itself as 'tasteless' which is a bit of a misnomer, it has a faint taste of rubber. It's best if mixed into a flavorful soup or stew, in which case it's not so noticeable.
However, regardless of the texture (not quite grit free), it does get the job done. I'm unable to consume oat fiber and, due to some health issues, can't get enough to insoluble fiber through my diet. For people like me it's good to have this option, even if it is a bit utilitarian. If this product doesn't work out for you, you can also try stabilized rice bran, although it has a bit of an odd flavor as well, is another gluten-free source of insoluble fiber.
